i rather stick with Android os regarding tablets… got Asus Transformer… good thing… it has a keyboard … like how many other tablet makers have copied that… kinda childish

I hope this doesn’t get flagged by spam but try checking the site techtoys2go it has a bunch of tablets very much like this one (I got one that’s identical) that’s called a Hedy Winpad.

  13. TheWintersAssassin says:

I own one of these though it’s called a Winpad not a Wpad, and I ordered it with Win7 though I had the win8 option, I made it work better than 8 using some simple autohotkey scripts though.

I believe he was talking about Windows 8, which is quite crap.

  19. Samyu Ravikumar says:

    you can turn off metro

  20. amusik says:

Do it! It’s worth it! Yeah it’s a crazy amount of work – took me the entire day to get all of the HP crapware uninstalled and all the right software installed. But the joy and sense of harmony I got from that was just priceless. WP8 is so strange – I thought you would get used it over time.. but the dual nature of the system – metro vs. desktop – just gets worse the more you use it.

I know how that feels. I’d change Windows 8 on my laptop to Windows 7, but I don’t want to go through the trouble of losing everything on it at the time, and how much time it would take to get it all back. Windows 8 is NOT good at all.

  23. amusik says:

I hate to agree with that. W8 completely ruined my work flow. It is simply impossible to use on a laptop that doesn’t have a touch screen. All of the updates to the UI are so useless – fancy things that don’t do anything or enhance the experience in any way. I cannot think of anything really that would have improved with W8, which was so disappointing to see because the starting point was great (if you read about the design teams philosophy for example).
